DC Aviation Ltd operates aircraft management, charter, FBO and ground-handling services from Malta International Airport, with a second site at SmartCity Malta. As part of the wider DC Aviation group, the company operates within group IT governance, security expectations and cross-border coordination requirements. The company is completing a full modernisation of its IT estate with a managed service provider: cloud identity and security, managed devices, cloud file storage, a refreshed network and modern telephony. We are looking for an IT Administrator to run day-to-day IT on site and act as the local IT owner coordinating with the managed service provider, group IT contacts and internal departments.
This role suits a hands-on IT professional who can keep daily operations running while helping embed a secure, structured and cloud-first way of working locally, in line with group IT standards.
Provide day-to-day IT and desktop support by telephone, email, remotely or on site, resolving requests within agreed service levels.
Install, configure and maintain hardware, software, mobile devices and peripherals, including enrolment into the managed-device platform.
Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant in daily operation: accounts, licences, mailboxes, multi-factor authentication, groups and permissions.
Own the user access lifecycle for joiners, movers and leavers across all systems, ensuring that actions are completed, evidenced and recorded on the same day.
Administer the cloud file and collaboration platform, applying the folder-ownership model, access matrices and archiving rules agreed with department heads
Support servers, network equipment, firewalls, internet lines and the connections between our sites and group companies, escalating to the provider where appropriate.
Ensure local IT practices remain aligned with group IT policies, security standards and agreed governance requirements, escalating conflicts or exceptions where needed.
Administer the telephone system: extensions, call routing, handsets and the mobile application.
Act as the first point of contact for IT suppliers by raising and tracking tickets, following up on resolution, and keeping an accurate record of open items.
Support the business applications used across maintenance, FBO, accounting and human resources, in liaison with their vendors.
Apply change discipline by assessing impact, confirming that an appropriate backup or rollback option exists, and informing colleagues before and after every change.
Maintain documentation: asset inventory, network and system records, access matrices, procedures and a knowledge base.
Support information security in daily practice: awareness, mailbox and domain protection, incident reporting and audit support.
An IT-related diploma or higher certification is desirable; Microsoft certifications are an advantage
At least three years of experience in technical support, systems administration or a related field
Solid knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, hardware components and structured troubleshooting
Practical experience administering Microsoft 365 and cloud identity, including user accounts, access control, multi-factor authentication and permission management.
Working understanding of networking fundamentals: addressing, routing, firewalls, virtual private networks and wireless infrastructure
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, able to explain technical matters in plain language
Able to work independently and within a team, with occasional availability outside normal hours for planned works or urgent operational issues.
Comfortable working with central group IT functions, managed service providers and internal stakeholders in a structured governance environment.
Strong organisational skills, documentation discipline and attention to detail.
Eligibility to work in Malta.
Knowledge of the EASA Part-IS information-security framework and of how regulatory requirements shape IT practice.
Experience in aviation or another regulated industry where audits, records and traceability are part of daily work.
Exposure to file-server migrations to cloud storage and to the governance that follows them.
Experience administering a voice-over-IP telephone system, and awareness of data-protection obligations.
Health insurance after one year of service.
Real ownership of the local company IT estate, working alongside an established managed service provider and within the wider group IT framework.
Exposure to a regulated aviation environment within an international group, with training and support towards relevant certifications
